Why It Matters

AACD Accredited. One of Very Few in the Bay Area

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Accreditation is not a membership you pay for. It requires submitting clinical cases for peer review and demonstrating a consistently high standard of cosmetic dental outcomes. Dr. Khandaqji is one of a small number of AACD Accredited cosmetic dentists in the Bay Area. What this means for you: every smile we design is held to a standard that most cosmetic dentists never have to meet.

How It Works

Beautiful Smiles Don't Happen by Chance.

Every transformation begins with careful planning, thoughtful design, and attention to every detail.

Step 1

The Conversation

We start by listening. What do you love about your smile? What bothers you? What have you tried before? We take our time here because understanding what you want is as important as knowing what is clinically possible.

Step 2

The Stability Evaluation

Before any cosmetic work begins, we assess your bite, gum health, and jaw stability. Beautiful veneers on an unstable bite will not last. We make sure the foundation is right first.

Step 3

Smile Design & Digital Preview

Using digital smile design tools, we show you what your result could look like before any preparation begins. You see it, you approve it, and we refine it until it is exactly right.

Step 4

Preparation & Temporaries

If your treatment involves veneers or crowns, temporary restorations are placed so you can wear your new smile before the final result is made. You live in it. You test it. You confirm it.

Step 5

Final Placement

Your final porcelain restorations are crafted to AACD-level standards. They are bonded with precision and checked for fit, colour, bite, and naturalness before we are finished.

Step 6

Long - Term Care

We don't hand you off after treatment. We monitor your bite, check your restorations, and ensure your smile stays exactly as it was designed - for as long as possible.

Cosmetic Treatments We Offer

Every treatment listed below begins with a proper diagnosis - never a sales pitch.

Porcelain Veneers

Ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth. Custom-crafted to match your natural tooth colour, shape, and translucency.

Composite Veneers

A more affordable alternative to porcelain. Sculpted directly on your teeth in a single visit for chips, gaps, or minor shape corrections.

Smile Makeovers

A combination of two or more cosmetic treatments planned and sequenced to create a complete smile transformation from first visit to final result.

Teeth Whitening

Professional-grade whitening that goes beyond what over-the-counter products can achieve - safe, supervised, and lasting.

Gum Contouring

Reshaping the gum line to create better proportion between your teeth and gums - often the missing piece of a truly balanced smile.

Dental Bonding

Tooth-coloured composite resin applied to repair chips, cracks, gaps, or discolouration with minimal preparation and in a single appointment.

"I Never Smiled in Photos." — Andrea

Andrea spent years hiding her smile in photos. Rather than starting with veneers, we started with a diagnosis — evaluating her symmetry, bite, and the missing tooth behind her concern. The result is so natural no one can tell any dentistry was done.

Common Questions

Things Patients Ask Before Getting Veneers

This is the most common concern we hear. The answer depends entirely on the skill of the dentist and the quality of the laboratory. At AACD Accreditation level, every restoration is designed to match the natural variation in your teeth – the translucency, the texture, the shade. The goal is always a result that looks like it always belonged there.

Traditional porcelain veneers require minimal preparation of the tooth surface – typically less than a millimetre. This is why a proper evaluation matters first. In some cases, minimal-prep or no-prep veneers are possible depending on your tooth structure and desired outcome. We will tell you exactly what your case requires before any treatment begins.

With proper care and a stable bite, porcelain veneers can last 15 to 20 years or longer. The most common reason veneers fail early is an unaddressed bite issue. This is why we always evaluate bite stability before any cosmetic work – it is the difference between a result that lasts and one that needs replacing in five years.

Yes – and we recommend it. If you are planning to whiten, do so before your veneers are made so we can match the porcelain to your whitened shade. Veneers cannot be whitened after placement.

Porcelain veneers are crafted in a dental laboratory and bonded to your teeth – they are more durable, more lifelike, and more stain-resistant. Composite veneers are sculpted directly on your teeth in one visit – they are more affordable and reversible but less durable long-term. We will recommend the right option based on your goals, your budget, and your bite.
