Dental Health Day Free Friday
Helping to encourage families to look after their teeth and their oral health
San Ramon, CA – December 12, 2014 – Dr. Mohammad Khandaqji DDS and the Mona Lisa Smile Dental smile team offer free oral health screenings to the public. San Francisco bay area residents are invited to receive free oral exam, teeth cleaning and digital x-rays on Friday December 19th, between 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. at the Mona Lisa Smile Dental office at 3124 Crow Canyon Pl Suite D in San Ramon, CA.
Dr. Khandaqji is committed to making a real contribution to the oral health of the greater San Francisco east bay area, not only on his Dental Oral Health Day, but throughout the year. He strives to ensure people have the information and the oral care tools they need to protect and promote their oral health before they leave Mona Lisa Smile Dental
Available to both insured and un-insured patients, appointment are necessary. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. All individuals five and older will be able to receive a free comprehensive oral exam, digital x-rays, tooth decay examination, teeth cleaning and instructions on proper oral health care. Treatments will not be provided. If anyone needs follow-up care, they can always arrange that with us here at Mona Lisa Smile Dental if they need to.
Across the bay area, oral disease is a significant public health challenge. Dental caries (tooth decay) is a major oral health problem in most industrialized countries, affecting 60–90% of schoolchildren and the vast majority of adults. Up to 90% of the local counties’ population will suffer from oral disease in their lifetime, including caries (the process which can lead to tooth decay) and periodontal disease. It is estimated that between 64% and 92% of bay area school children have dental issues.
We understand fear of visiting the dentist. Many people are embarrassed of the condition of their mouth. Rest assured, our team is professional and will not judge or lecture you. We are here for you whether you are beginning the journey towards oral health, or simply maintaining your healthy smile.
Nearly 100 million Americans didn’t go to the dentist last year, and millions more live in communities where there is little or no access to care. To help push back against these statistics, across the bay area, Mona Lisa Smile Dental will draw attention to the burden of oral disease and provide information on simple, preventive steps we can all take to maintain good oral health. Including brushing teeth with fluoride-containing toothpaste at least twice daily; regular dental check-ups with Dr. K.
For many young people who live in low income families and are uninsured, oral care is hard to come by. That’s why Mona Lisa Smile Dental hosts its own Dental Health Day to help those who cannot afford to see a dentist get the care they need. Your teeth are precious.
It is a chance for everyone, no matter where you live in the bay area, no matter your gender, no matter your age, to celebrate healthy smiles and to encourage families to look after their teeth and their oral health.
Dr. Khandaqji has continued to donate both his time and clinical skills to perform needed dentistry to lower-income residents of the greater East Bay area. His experiences with the diverse population in the east bay area over the last 15 years allow him to provide the best care for many types of family dental needs, from emergency procedures to preventative care.
Dr. Mohammad Khandaqji, DDS is a certified Member of the American Dental Association, a certified Member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, is certified by the California Dental Board and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Medicine. Dr. Khandaqji attended a specialty program in Southern California (Loma Linda) to obtain his certification of Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Khandaqji is a Member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics has also been trained in esthetic improvements.
